They are realistic, interesting and fun to watch as people interact in high paced and high stress situations. Some believe it is because people can relate with them so well and in fact that maybe part of it. But whatever reason, it goes to show that reality TV is where it is at. I propose a new reality TV Show. We will call it; This is Your Government. Two teams will compete and are assigned easy tasks like regulating a Lemonade Stand or monitoring a Non-Profit Carwash by a church youth group. The government worker rank and file along with the bureaucrats will team up to see who can best regulate the chosen activity for the week.

In true government style the team, which can create the most paperwork the quickest will receive points. The team, which eventually causes the kids to go out of business fastest, will indeed be declared the winner. If I am paying for my Satellite subscription monthly, how come, I am limited to where I can and cannot watch TV? Isn't that absurd? Well, apparently, there are some satellite providers out there who make that decision for us. Whether we like it or not. This means, we don't have a freedom of choice, as we are suppose. However, there are still people out there, thousand of them, who still get away by watching Satellite wherever, they please.

So, the question is this? Are they violating a law? And if they are, who made that law? According to the CRTC, this is the Canadian Standard of Communications, such practice is perfectly fine, since, they don't control the airways. On the contrary, if you were to ask, the biggest satellite provider in Canada, they mention, such practices are violating a Canadian law. So, who to believe? Especially, when there is another satellite provider competitor, who mentions that going across the border is perfectly fine.

Now, for those of you who live in the U.S.A, the same problem applies to you. If you don't think so, make a quick test. Phone your Satellite provider and tell them you are going to take your Satellite system to Canada or Mexico. Just pay attention what they are going to say to you. Same law applies to Americans. For me, the NBA and the Los Angeles Lakers is where it is at. So what is going on here. Am I the only one that can see what is going on here? Seriously people this is absolutely crazy. I just talked to my buddy and he is paying over $100 a month for his TV? Wow thats pretty amazing considering you can turn on the radio and never pay anything for the same type of entertainment. Radio is free because of the advertisements, makes sense right. So what the heck is wrong with TV? Why are we being shoved commercials down our throats when we are paying for this monthly service.

I think if we are being forced to watch commercials we should not have to pay for the service. It needs to be worked out similar to how Radio does it. Keep the service free and let the advertisers pay to display commercials. Lets face it people commercials do the trick. They get us out of our houses and make us spend money, so why should we have to keep paying for our television.

Some may think this is more of a Rant than an article, but I disagree. I simply want to wake people up to this. I want to propose to all the cable and satellite companies out there that if I am going to pay I want commercial free programming. If I want free the I need to watch the commercials. What makes the radio so much harder to do this with. We get bombarded with WAY more commercials on TV then we do on the radio. And don't even get me started on the internet, ads everywhere.

We need to make a movement people, we need to quit paying for the overpriced service from our Satellite and Cable companies. There is a solution, that I am not going to talk about here.
